Norgate Technology, Inc. in Garden City, NY has multiple openings for Business Analysts. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of management principles and concepts, as well as business problem-solving skills, to assist project managers and to perform the following job duties:
Working closely with Developers to review user requirements and understand technical recommendations and constraints to develop comprehensive and accurate functional specifications; Data Mapping, process flows, and other UML diagrams using Microsoft Visio. Interacting with broad spectrum of team members including business stakeholders, business analysts, architects, application developers, and Software Validation team - both on-site and off-site. Responsible for the life cycle of a software development project, including requirements clarification and analysis, understanding client organization's direction and structure. Developing high-level documents, detail design, coding, unit testing, and user acceptance testing. Deploying new products and process enhancements. Providing guidance to the development team. Documenting and analyzing required information and data. Initiating and facilitating JAD sessions and requirement walkthroughs before entering into the development phase. Developing internal and external meeting objectives and agendas. Involved in quality and SOX Compliances. As assigned, perform other duties normally associated with this occupation. THE FOREGOING DUTIES INVOLVE SUPERVISION OF PROJECTS ONLY, NOT PERSONNEL. THIS POSITION DOES NOT PERFORM ANY PROJECT MANAGEMENT.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Management Information Systems or any related IT Management field of study providing the required knowledge and abilities, plus three (3) years of related experience that provided the required skills and abilities. In lieu of the stated primary education and experience requirements, employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Management Information Systems or any related IT Management field of study providing the required knowledge and abilities, plus five (5) years of post-degree, progressive and related experience that provided the required skills and abilities. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.

Travel: No travel; no telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the United States which may require relocation at the end of each project.
