Norgate Technology, Inc. in Garden City, NY has multiple openings for AB Initio Developers I. Individuals will use standard occupational tools and knowledge to perform the following job duties:
Under supervision of the Managing Director, perform tuning of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process using Ab Initio ETL Tool. Responsible for Ab Initio development and design using Unix Shell Scripting and Oracle. Preparation of Implementation Plan for UAT/Production migration and Post implementation monitoring and support. Perform data requirement analysis and create design specification and operational documentation. Identify areas to improve the quality of the process and end deliverables. Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs. Assist in developing test cases and plans by teams in order to complete unit testing and support system testing. As assigned, perform other duties normally associated with this occupation.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field of study, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or in any related occupation providing the required skills and abilities. Note: Either a 3-year or 4-year degree is acceptable. Employer will accept a foreign degree.
Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.

Travel: No travel; no telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the United States which may require relocation at the end of each project.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
