Norgate Technology, Inc. in Garden City, NY has multiple openings for Lead AB Initio Developers. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Computer Science and Engineering principles and concepts, as well as experience using standard occupational tools, to assist project managers and to perform the following job duties:
Responsible for coordinating AB Initio development and design using Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle and Teradata. Lead other AB Initio developers in performance tuning of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process using AB Initio ETL Tool. Develop Oracle Stored Procedures. Provide team of AB Initio developers and management with assistance solving issues, such as malfunctions and programming problems. Analyze requirements and provide work effort estimate. Perform data requirement analysis and create design specification and operational documentation. Also responsible for functional requirements, mapping documents, and assisting in problem solving and troubleshooting, in addition to coding, testing, modifying, debugging, documenting, and implementation of Ab Initio Graphs. Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs. Coordinate and develop test cases and plans by teams in order to complete unit testing and support system testing. As assigned, perform other duties normally associated with this occupation.
THIS POSITION DOES NOT SUPERVISE ANY PERSONNEL AND DOES NOT PERFORM ANY PROJECT MANAGEMENT.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science or any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field of study and three (3) years of related experience that provided the required skills and abilities. In lieu of the stated primary education and experience requirements, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field of study and 5 years of post-degree, progressive and related experience that provided the required skills and abilities. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.

Travel: No travel; no telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the United States which may require relocation at the end of each project.
