Job Description:
? Evaluates, architects, develops, implements, communicates, operates, monitors and maintains information security technologies, security policies and procedures.
? Plans and conducts a wide variety of cyber security related tasks including risk assessment
? Identify and evaluate emergent threats and vulnerabilities as well as investigates and recommends appropriate corrective actions for information security incidents
? Test and implement appropriate security methods and control techniques to benchmark the company?s information security and compliance with key regulations (e.g., Sarbanes Oxley, NERC CIP) such as firewalls, data access rules tables, intrusion detection software, data encryption, network security and recovery
? Review the development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques to ensure sound information security and compliance with regulations and includes overseeing compliance with proper IT and NERC CIP change management processes and documentation for all hardware and software modifications
? Carry out the day to day activities for enterprise and compliance security operations
Desired Qualifications
? Ideal candidate will possess an applicable security certification i.e. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).
? Experience in implementing and operating regulatory / industry standards compliance strategies involving at least one of the following: Sarbanes-Oxley, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Federal Information Security Management Act, or NERC CIP Reliability Standards.
? Administering, deploying, searching and reporting with Splunk 6.x Enterprise and Enterprise App for Security being utilized as a SIEM along with other various Splunk security apps
? Experience deploying, administering and maintaining Checkpoint appliance gateways (4200, 12400 and IP series), Smart-1 management appliance, web proxy and email gateway appliances (Unified Threat Management). Working knowledge of the following Checkpoint software blades: IPS, AV, ABOT, URLF, APCL & ASPM
? Ability to analyze and harden IT infrastructure using industry benchmark standards, i.e. CIS Security Benchmarks, NIST (NVD), Cisco RAT tool, vendor guides
? Conduct vulnerability activities to identify weaknesses and identify mitigation efforts
? Ability to administer Active Directory & Linux Red Hat for cyber security products
? Knowledge of IT, networking, and IP protocol concepts, network security experience with Cisco switches, routers, ASA, IPS & Sourcefire appliance
? Experience with incident response (IR) capability to include the engineering, policy, and enforcement of disciplinary and/or legal matters associated with intrusive activities
? Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills and decision-making skills
? Excellent organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
? Experience designing and deploying cybersecurity frameworks
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
