Position
Summary:
The Process Engineer will plan and design product applications and machinery. The position is responsible for organizing highly complex activities for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of heat exchanger manufacturing processes.FULLY ON-SITE, Contract to HirePay Rate:
$65/hour Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness, including determining root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.o Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.o Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.o Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.o Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.o Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness; including purchasing equipment, materials, or parts and preparing documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.o Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards, including troubleshooting new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processeso Develop sustainable manufacturing technologies and analyze the financial impacts of sustainable manufacturingo Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.o Develop, document and implement standard work instructions for critical manufacturing operations.Required Skills and Abilities:
o Excellent people and communication skills are required (both oral and written).o Strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperationo Computer literacy in a MRP system (Oracle a plus), Microsoft Office.o Able to work under pressureo Highly technical and analytical skills such (drawings, schematics, layout)o Able to think out of box.o Project management skillso Highly organized and efficiento Possess leadership and interpersonal skillso Strong problem-solving skillsEducation and
Experience:
