(CCCN, hereafter) is a private, not-for-profit organization that has served the community since 1972.
CCCN provides child care counseling and referrals to families, professional development, and technical assistance to active and potential providers, and offers services to employers interested in the child care needs of employees and their families.
Through research and support of child care friendly public policy and development, CCCN serves as an informational resource and public voice for issues facing Nassau County's diverse communities.
The Director of Operations is a senior leader at CCCN, ensuring effective internal operations that drive progress toward our mission.
The Director of Operations will oversee fiscal and contract management, office operations, and human resources for our small but growing organization.
Responsibilities Directly supervise the Office Manager, Data Manager, and Fiscal Manager Work with the Fiscal Manager to oversee budgeting, payroll, cash flow, internal controls, audits, tax filings, loans, and financial reporting Ensure contracts and department budgets are managed effectively, maximizing CCCN's resources and maintaining compliance with the law and funder requirements Approve all claims and contracts prior to submittal Oversee the implementation of human resources strategies including full cycle recruitment, benefits and compensation, professional development, and performance evaluations Work with the executive director to analyze fiscal position and identify opportunities to efficiently use resources and attract investments from funders Attend board meetings and liaise with the board of directors on matters of internal operations and fiscal reporting Liaise with Finance/HR Board Committee, external auditors, vendors, and independent contractors on key operational matters Work with directors and managers across the organization to implement automated processes and improve operational efficiency Contribute to CCCN's positive organizational culture through modeling our values, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to our mission Facilitate benefit enrollment process Provide support & guidance to Directors regarding program budgets and reporting Perform additional tasks as needed to support CCCN's operational mission Qualifications 7 -10 years of related work experience, preferably in a non-profit environment Proven track record of success in operations & budget management Master's degree in nonprofit management, business administration or related discipline preferred Demonstrated experience interacting with diverse stakeholders Capable of setting clear objectives and leading a team to meet them Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work collaboratively, solve problems, and use sound judgement Experience with nonprofit software (I.
